The Czech Chamber of Commerce is the largest and the most representative business association in the Czech Republic. It has more than 16,000 members organized in 60 regional chambers and in 127 branch associations.
The Czech Chamber of Commerce is the only legal representative of Czech entrepreneurs. Its activity is set by law – in Act No. 301/1992 Coll. on the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic. The aforementioned legal standard states that the Czech Chamber of Commerce protects the interests of Czech entrepreneurs from all regions and sectors.
Czech Chamber of Commerce has 14 territorial committees with their counterparts in the perspective countries jointly organizing various events in the Czech Republic or in the partner countries. The committees participate in the preparation of outgoing delegations of Czech entrepreneurs to/from partner countries. They also participate in organization of incoming missions from partner countries incl. planning of business meetings.
The Czech-Qatari Joint Business Council under the Foreign Section of the Czech Chamber of Commerce was established in October 2020. Its current Chairman is Mr. Vladimír Cnota. The task of the Joint Business Council is the development of Czech-Qatari relations in the business sector.
Overall, the Czech Chamber together with its Foreign Section and the Czech-Qatari Joint Business Council are the sole bodies representing various sectors of the Czech business regarding Qatar. All other initiatives claiming to represent the interests of the Czech Chamber of Commerce are private activities and should be considered as such.
